Three Idaho Cities Among the Nation's Fastest Growing Cities

Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell are all on the list of the nation's 15 fastest-growing cities between July 1, 2020, and July 1, 2021. Meridian, with an estimated 2021 population of 125,963, ranks 13th for growth with a 5.2-percent increase compared to 2020. Meridian had the nation's 11th-largest numeric increase, with 6,234 added to the population in just one year. Learn more here.

Billy Idol, Train & Midland to Play at Albertsons Boise Open

Attention Drivers: Widespread Chip Sealing Work Throughout the Summer

Long Empty Downtown Boise Office Space to Convert to Small Condos

Built in 2009, the 17-story Aspen Lofts (along Front St. in downtown Boise) has sold all of its condos and leased its ground floor office space, while leaving the second floor vacant. Now, according to this BoiseDev article another plan is taking shape.

Boise Joins New Federal Initiative to Combat Homelessness

The city of Boise is joining a federal program to combat homelessness. According to this news story, "The House America project will mean there will be more places in Boise that the homeless can call home. Mayor Lauren McLean says with its new partnership with housing and urban development the city will make better use of federal dollars."

Internet Divided Over New "Welcome to Idaho" Protocol

Oh, debates on the internet! It sounds like people are currently debating the use and rules of using stickers - especially here in Idaho. You may have heard that earlier this year there was an "auction" of sorts for one "Welcome to Idaho" sign that the Idaho Department of Transportation removed due to the number of stickers that had been added to it... it ended up being sold off for $11,200. Antiques Roadshow Visits Boise

The widely popular PBS show Antiques Roadshow stopped at the Idaho Botanical Garden earlier this week. According to this article, PBS will create three shows from the footage gathered. “Story is king at Roadshow. You can show us another Tiffany lamp worth a lot of money but we really care about the story more than that.”
