26 Idaho Companies on Inc's Fastest Growing Companies List

Check out Inc Magazine's annual reportof the US's fastest growing companies to see the 26 Idaho-based companies that made the list. With a notable rank of 59, Proud Source Water (based out of MacKay, ID) experienced a revenue growth of 5,979% over the past three years. Also of note, Gymreapers, based out of Meridian experienced a growth of 940%. Check out all 26 of the Idaho companies that made the list here. Census: Meridian one of 10 Fastest US Cities

A surprise? Hardly - Meridian is booming! And so is the whole gem state - Idaho grew by 17.3% over the past 10 years (that's second only to Utah, which grew by 18.4%). And Ada County grew by a staggering 26%. Learn more by reading/watching   KTVB's coverage here.

ACHD drops property tax increase for the third time after public hearing

Boise-based developer plans 27-story luxury apartment building downtown

Oppenheimer Development says they plan to kick off construction of a 27-story luxury apartment building next summer. The structure will be built between 12th and Idaho St and will apparently be the tallest building in Idaho! Learn more here.

Where America’s developed areas are growing: ‘Way off into the horizon’

According to this Washington Post article, between 2001 and 2019, a notable 14,000 square miles of previously undeveloped land was developed across the US. That's five times the size of Delaware! And Boise (along with surrounding cities) experienced tremendous growth, which the author largely attributed to "affordability and proximity to prime spots for hiking, skiing, mountain biking and other outdoor activities are a huge draw for residents". This year's Strength 2 Thrive Walk-A-Thon for Suicide Prevention is set to kick off September 11 at Columbia High School in Nampa. All the proceeds from the walk go to Idaho's Suicide Prevention Hotline, which has seen a surge of 49% in call frequency over the past year. Learn more about this event here.
