Thousands of More Homes in Eagle's Foothills?

A previously planned (but never constructed) community deemed 'Spring Valley' has recently regained traction. If the project successfully moves forward, the new community will be located in the foothills north of Eagle and is projected to include "12,000 homes, a hotel, restaurants, a vineyard, and equestrian centers". Major Road Construction Project: Ustick Road Overpass

The Idaho Transportation Department is in the process of closing the Ustick Road Overpass to begin demolishing the bridge. The overpass is being replaced to make room for additional lanes to be added to Interstate 84 between Caldwell and Nampa. Boise River Float Season is Coming

While the Boise River float season typically starts around June 21st, it always comes down to the state of the river. According to this news report, the river is currently flowing at about 1500 cubic feet per second (CFS) - for floating season to open the speed will need to come down to 1250 CFS. Pandemic aside, 2020 was actually the busiest float season ever - and they're anticipating that 2021 will be even busier! Get ready to float (and be sure to also check out this article for tips on how to do so safely).
