Over the past several years, the technology industry has become an increasingly important contributor and component to Boise’s growing economy. So when Paylocity, an innovative cloud-based payroll and human capital management software solution provider, announced early last yearthat they would be building a large home base in Meridian for 500 employees, it was news met with wide applause.

The revolutionary company prides itself on delivering industry-leading software that simplifies the lives of payroll and HR professionals across the country and is backed with unmatched customer service. Headquartered just outside of Chicago, Paylocity first arrived in Boise in 2015.
According to the Idaho Press Tribune, the rapidly growing technology provider hosted a private ribbon cutting ceremony last week to welcome the nearly 200 employees who recently moved in.

The building, which is currently five stories and 125,000 square feet, will be continually added to over the next couple of years. In order to fill those floors, the company plans to hire roughly 250 new employees over the next 18 to 36 months. So if you are a current (or potential) job seeker or peruser be sure to check out (and bookmark) their Careers page.

Vice President of Human Resources, Jay Schedler, is quoted as saying that following talent was one of the main reasons Paylocity opened its Boise office 3 years ago. He also noted that many qualified graduates from local Treasure Valley colleges, such as Boise State and the College of Western Idaho, choose to stay in our booming area. “That’s why I’ve selected Boise and now Meridian. You have an incredible talent pool!”

One fun tidbit about the new building – according to the Idaho Press Tribune, the top floors of the new building pay homage to the state of Idaho and to the Treasure Valley. Each conference room is named after an area or feature of Idaho (such as Tamarack of the Boise Greenbelt). And they’ve decorated their quarters with the help of local artists who created commissioned art pieces highlighting the increasingly diverse Treasure Valley culture.

They may also add a gym to the lower floor! And if those little nuggets aren’t enough to peak your interest, the building is designed with a “me, we and us spaces” mindframe, thus encouraging both small group collaboration AND larger team building opportunities. Such a great career opportunity for our booming community’s patrons.

We are very excited to see Paylocity continue to thrive and welcome their new employees to the area. Keep on rockin’ – we’re thrilled with what you’re doing for the Treasure Valley (and for your clients across the nation).
