Boise: Yet Again, Ranked as One of Best Cities in the US

Ranking the best places to live in the US is no simple task. Business Insider recently took on the challenge and compiled their list by comparing several ranking systems (including lists by US News and World Report, 24/7 Wall Street, Money, Niche, Livability, and SmartAsset). Each of the rankings weighed metrics including quality of life, cost of living, availability of jobs, education rates and safety. And Boise, yet again, landed among the top best cities to live in!

Booming Boise: Idaho is Growing at a Feverish Pace

Right now, the economy across the state of Idaho is undeniably hot and healthy! This is especially the case in southwest Idaho. The Census Bureau reports the 2018 Idaho population to be at 1,753,860. And while that number may seem dismal compared to the nearly 40 million who live in California, it’s impressive if you consider how quickly Idaho has gotten there. Idaho is currently growing at 2.15%, which is faster than any other state! As such, Idaho is increasingly appealing to those looking for opportunities in growth.

Boise received a nod from Lisa Loverro, managing editor for Shape Magazine who also writes a travel blog for Forbes. She included Boise as one of 23 places highlighted as being affordable summer destinations. She emphasized Boise’s great amenities such as our easy access to a variety of outdoor activities and our booming downtown scene with great restaurants and bars. Idaho's First Medical School Nears its Opening Date
Source: Meridian PressSince its conception, the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, or ICOM, has boasted that it will be a game changer for health care in the region. ICOM will be the first medical school in Idaho when it opens in Meridian this summer. The three-story college will tentatively be complete June 11, and will welcome students this fall.
